Goal Setting

Goal Setting is important when you want to get organized and to help you not procrastinate. As a student in high school you will have to deal with many projects,tests, homework, quizzes and many of them will be in the same week. This is where you will have to get orgainized and budget your time. You might even have to use your decision making skills like when you need to decide whether or not to study or hang out with your friends. Goal Setting can help you get things done and help you organized your time so that you do not procrastinate or stress out!
There are different types of goals for different desires. Long term goals usually last longer than a month or year. These goals are usually used for big changes and are harder to achieve. An example of a long term goal is losing a certain amount of weight..Short term goals are usually last for a short period of time. These goals are usually easier to achieve. An example of a short term goal would be getting a good grade on a test.

- You also need to believe in yourself
- Analyze where you are now
- Set REALISTIC goals
- Write your goals down in detail
- list the benefits that you will receive
- Identify the obstacles that you may face
- Identify the knowledge you will need
- Make a plan of action
- Develop time lines or time limits
- Monitor your progress
- NEVER give up!
